FAIRVIEW TAKE DERBY DAY HONOURS

A slightly depleted fixture list this week, but we still have a cup fixture and league fixtures to update you all on.

In the County Junior league Cup Fairview won 3-2 at home to Masons Arms.
A game that was always going to be well contested,after 5 minutes Dan Clarke scored an opportunist goal followed by 2 goals from Lewis Moss for Fairview.
The second half saw Masons pile on the pressure and capitalize on two mistakes to allow Tino Scremwe and Mason Horwood in for 2 goals to make the last 20 minutes full of action.Fairview held firm to take a well earned victory.

In the league Summertown Stars won 8-3 at home to Brookes Uni., with some regulars missing from the home team it was high tempo from the start ,the visitors took a 2 goal lead with Micheal Andrews and Jordan Logan on the mark; before Theo Sturgis and Matty Naisbit levelled just before half time. The second period was just as fast football ,Ola Abiola and Charles Appiah put Stars into the lead and their Sub Abul Hebbachi also made an impact scoring twice ,Charles Appiah completed his hatrick but not before Brookes ,who never gave up, forced an own goal from Alex Thompson to reduce the arrears.

St Ebbes Headington won 5-3 at home to Wheatley youth with goals from Start Rainex,Ben Dyer,Jacob Grimes 2 and Andrew McGregor. Wheatley's scorers Ben Shephard 2 and Jacob Joseph. Ebbes were 3-1 up at half time ,Wheatley did better in the second period but late goals sealed the win for Ebbes.

Zubry won 4-1 home to Thame United churches.
