The Management Committee have held an emergency meeting

The League Management Committee has held an emergency meeting regarding the latest lockdown situation.

It was agreed that we would reschedule the fixtures to start from the 6th December 2020 subject to the lockdown being lifted on the 2nd December 2020 but the Committee are mindful that this may well get extended.

It was also agreed the priority to still hold the 2019-2020 Cup Finals to be fair to those teams that worked hard to get to a Final before lockdown one and we will look tentatively to hold them in January 2021. It was also agreed that if this extends the season we will go to the end of May 2021 to get everything finished as normal if we can.

The Committee would like to put on record their thanks to Matt Smith and Sheppey United FC who are trying to find us appropriate dates but obviously they are struggling with their own games to see a way through.

We are also pleased to say that the first month of using the Rugby Club has been successful for both parties and the pitch has held up well so far and the teams that have used it seem happy with the pitch, which has been a bonus with us losing the Academy to play our League matches.

This is obviously something we wanted to avoid but I think we all realised it would be inevitable at some stage this season.

We want to express our thanks to all our Clubs/Players/Officials/ Match Officials and Spectators that have made a great Covid free start to the season since September and lets hope that this is only a month blip!!

In the meantime take care of yourselves and your families and stay safe!!
