(23-Nov-13) vs Fleet Town Colts Pumas (A) : 1-5

We always approach the Cup season with some trepidation, based upon past experience. Although we managed to take the lead, the equaliser gave us that strange familiar feeling as ( yet another ) team from a lower division threatened to give us a bit of a Cup upset. Yet again the management team worked the oracle and we started to impose ourselves more and more in the second half and at the end the margin of victory was healthy ( if perhaps a little harsh on the opposition ). Very strong performances all round in the second half, and well done to Noah and Max for getting a brace each and to Ryan for opening his account for the season. Although the forwards fired we shouldn’t forget those holding the line at the rear, and once again Oscar kept us in the game when we may have been otherwise afflicted by “squeaky bum”. There were some excellent goals but most pleasing was the use of the width of the pitch and the crossing. Hopefully we will see more of this in the next few weeks.

Noah took Man of the Match not only for his two goals and assist but also because of the way he drove us forward when things were threatening to be de-railed. Well done also to Max Sebastian-Todd for trainer of the week
