Max I ~ Man Of The Match (21-Sep-13)

(21-Sep-13) vs Rushmoor Saints Titans (H): 4-1

I had two very different reports composed whilst running the line on Saturday. The first would have been a verbal equivalent of the late lamented hair-dryer.
Happily for all good sense prevailed and we won at a canter in the end. The first half saw the boys getting their own back on us all for sending them early to bed at some stage in the previous week by causing various high blood-pressure inducing moments. The Holy Trinity ( Nev, Brian and Neil ) worked the oracle at half-time and we were transformed!
All the boys did themselves justice in the second half and we could/should have had another three. Max Impiazzi was deservedly MoM for two excellent finishes and for being a constant danger to the opposition. Oscar’s mighty boot set one of the goals up and with the wind behind us this will hopefully be an alternative source of goals. Well done to Ryan with an assist – here’s to many more. And well done to Charlie B and Euan for continuing their good form. But it was an excellent team effort as much as anything else and that is what we are all so pleased about.
Sadly the score-line 4-1 was repeated somewhere else and I have sent my own match report to the Goodison Gargoyle. We may have to send the Holy Trinity to Salford.
