Dream It Believe It Achieve It joins forces with the National Blind Futsal League

Following a fabulous summer of sport the National Blind Futsal League welcomed a brand new team and a brand new title sponsor for the new season which kicked off on Saturday 27th October at the Royal National College for the Blind in Hereford.

Dream It, Believe It, Achieve It has agreed a three year sponsorship deal with the league that will see the league renamed ‘The DBA National Blind Futsal League’.

Dream It Believe It Achieve It is a charity that was set up by GB and England Cerebral Palsy Football International Matt Dimbylow in 2010. The charity aims to raise funds for athletes to compete at the Paralympic Games, provide Sports Scholarships at Universities for Olympic and Paralympic Athletes, to promote and educate on the enormous health benefits of disability sport and to give adults and children the opportunity to participate in a healthy, active lifestyle.

The sponsorship deal will secure the future of the national league thereby supporting the mixture of Paralympic and grassroots footballers that participate in the league on a regular basis.

With the leagues finances secure for the immediate future, attention turned to thePoint4 for the season’s opening fixtures. Merseyside Blind FC made their debut joining the likes of Worcester Blind FC, RNC Bulls, West Midlands Blind Centre of Excellence and the London & South East Centre of Excellence in challenging reigning league and cup double winners, West Midlands Centre of Excellence for this season’s silverware.

After the completion of the days fixtures Worcester Blind FC top the table on goal difference from the West Midlands Centre of Excellence and RNC Bulls who all took maximum points. Debutants Merseyside Blind FC sit in fourth place after close defeats to RNC Bulls and West Midlands whilst the London and East Midlands squads will be hoping for more fruitful days as the season progresses.
