The first three weeks fixtures since the leagues resumption following the festive break were badly disrupted by the weather and week four saw things go from bad to worse as a fixture list of thirty league and cup games was reduced to just two. The most significant postponement was the Derbyshire Senior Sunday Cup quarter final between Hasland and Clowne Wanderers which was postponed for a second successive week. Clowne Wanderers Reserves fared better however with their Chatsworth Cup game against Holmehall 1st being one of the two games that did go ahead. Having said that I would imagine Holmehall probably wished it hadn’t taken place as they were thrashed 10-0. Both sides play in NAPIT DIVISION FIVE with Wanderers topping the division whilst Holmehall are third from bottom and in their league meetings this season Wanderers won 7-1 at Clune Street with the other game being drawn 3-3. In this game though a draw never looked to be on the cards as Wanderers attacked almost incessantly with D Rodgers leading the rout with well taken hat trick to add to the two he scored seven days previously in the 9-1 win over North Wingfield MW. D Taylor scored twice, A Taylor, Boyle, Cooper and an own goal finished off a miserable day for the losers. The only other game took place at Badger Park Brockwell where the hosts Squadron Medical took on Spartans 2nd in NAPIT SEVEN and beat them by four goals to one.
