Sunday saw a phenomenal number of goals scored across the league and its three cup competitions. In all two hundred and ten goals were scored in just thirty games with four teams scoring ten or more goals. It was Hady Villa who who were the most prolific as they put eighteen past a stunned Brampton Oaks Sports in the Chatsworth Cup. Just six places separate the two NAPIT THREE sides but on this occasion the sides were worlds apart with Craig Smedley in particular cashing in on Sports defensive vulnerabilities to claim a double hat-trick, Clinton Peters also scored a hat trick with Andy Laming, Carl Twell and Steve McMahon scoring twice each, Phil Owens, Ash Isaccs and veteran defender Tim Stafford also getting in on the act scoring a goal apiece. Also in the Chatsworth Creswell Black Diamond ran riot, this time against Renishaw Rangers. Black Diamond dominated the first half but poor finishing and some superb goal keeping kept them at bay until the forty-first minute when they took the lead but an early second half goal opened the flood gates as they finally ended up scoring eleven. Eight different players scored for the winners with Ian Godley and Ashley Ruse scoring twice, David Hall, Jay Hall, Stacey Malerek, Steve Colbert, Sean Marsden and Ricky Roe also on target, the eleventh goal being an own goal. In the Hutson Cup Brampton Rovers Reserves took on Renishaw Rangers TFC and five goal Scott Martin lead them to a 10-0 victory. Eliott Crowder scored three with Alex Harrison and Charlie Scattergood adding the other two goals.

Away from the cup competitions runaway NAPIT TWO leaders AFC Bolsover entertained a Dronfield Woodhouse side who have themselves been enjoying a good campaign but the goal scoring prowess of Daley Furnace, Josh Parfitt and Gary Hulland blew them away as Parfitt scored four, Furnace and Hulland three each as they sank to a 10-2 reverse. Also in TWO bottom club Red Whitt Moor were beaten by Dronfield Victoria who won by three goals to two, Charles Bradwell scoring twice on debut, Josh Sears once.

Elsewhere in the league in SIX Renishaw MW Reserves visited Hasland WMC and came away with the points in another high scoring game, winning by five goals to three, Gain Poulton and Reece Cunningham scored twice, Sam Noon Once.

In SEVEN Brimington Utd Shoes scored a last minute winner against Spartans 2nd to extend their lead at the top to ten points. The game looked to be heading for a 2-2 draw before Pete Roberts popped up to hit the winning goal.

Back to the cup action and in the Dey and Co Alma Cup an all ONE encounter saw FC Britannia take on Hepthorne Lane for the second time in seven days. The previous game in the Derbyshire Cup was easily won by Britannia by eight goals to two and in truth they were never over extended in the ALMA as they won, comfortably by four goals to nil, Callum Lytham scoring three times and Will Harcourt once. Renishaw MW entertained NAPIT TWO side Grassmoor Sports Sports who battled bravely before losing to the only goal of the game scored by Daniel Bradbury. Other sides who moved through to the next round were Creswell Black Diamond who beat Black Swan 7-2. Jordan Claxton was in tremendous form for Diamond and the Swan defence couldn't cope with the threat he posed, so much so that he scored five times, Luke Russon and Ross Whitehead added goals number six and seven. Likewise Clowne Wanderers progressed at the expense of Woodthorpe Inn whom they beat 5-1, Andrew Heath scoring two of the goals as did Eckington Boys who needed extra time to beat West End Killamarsh by three goals to two.

In the Chatsworth FIVE leaders Brimwood Utd took on AFC Spital of THREE who were just that little bit too good for them on the day and won by three goals to nil, the goals coming from Mike Edwards, Ryan Simpson and BIlly Simpson. Pilsley Community and Holmehall 1st were big winners, both scoring seven times, Communities seven (7-0) came at Hollingwood Athletic, Tyler Barksby scoring three of them whilst Holmehall's seven (7-2) were scored against Palterton Sporting Club, Adam Fareham hitting a treble. A ten goal thriller at Ark Tavern where Newbold provided the opposition was won by the hosts by six goals to four, three of them being scored by Carl White. Scott Whitehouse and Pete Stevenson were on top form, both scoring trebles as Barlow Kingston Rovers beat Travellers Clowne 8-2, Steelmelters Arms Killamarsh won 5-0 at Brimington Utd, Chris Woodward scoring four times, Club FC beat New All Inn 5-4 on penalties, Harleys Scarlets beat Gate Inn North Wingfield 3-0, Ryan Hutchinson, Jimmy Brough and Jordan Varnam the match winners, Duckmanton Community just edged out AFC North Wingfield 3-2 and Oaks FC's Hemstock scored three as his side beat Old a Whittington MW 5-1. Clowne Wanderers Reserves also moved into the next round by beating Oxcroft Utd in a local derby game 3-2.

Other games in the Hutson saw goal machine Dave Canning scoring four goals as Glapwell Gladiators beat Newbold Community 7-0, Canning now having scored twenty-one cup and league goals this season. Evolution breached the Fidlers Rest rearguard four times only to concede seven to exit the competition, Joe Palmer and Luke Carline both registering trebles for Fidlers. Squadron Medical put seven past Holmehall 2nd, Dave Kelly and Rod Flower both scoring twice. Gardeners Clay Cross won 6-2 at Grassmoor Sports FC and finally Ben Smith scored twice as Furnace Hill Hurricanes beat Dronfield Wanderers 4-2.
