Latest information regarding 3G Pitches from the Football Association

As the new season kicks off ylou are reminded of the current position that The FA has in regards to the use of 3G Football Turf Pitches (FTPs) for the 2014/15 season, the following rule was adopted in The FAs Standard Code of Rules – these are the rules that all leagues (Excluding small sided) have to abide to:

The 2013/14 Standard Code of Rule (SCOR) states:
Football Turf Pitches (3G) are allowed in this Competition proving they meet the required performance standards and are listed on The FA’s Register of Football Turf Pitches. For clubs playing at steps 7 and below, a pitch must be tested (by an accredited test institute) every three years and the results passed to The FA. The FA will give a decision on the suitability for use and add the pitch to the Register.

According to the list of pitches currently registered for use in our area only South Glos College, Oaklands Park and St Bebes Catholic College are acceptable.
