Explains the U16 Cup Competition format
The U16 Competition has 2 Tiers, Cup & Trophy, played in 2 stages, Groups then Knock-out.
Stage 1 Groups
14 Teams in 3 seeded groups of 5,5,4 to determine play-off positions for knock-out.
Stage 2 Knock-out
10 Teams still involved.
Groups A & B 1st & 2nd places to Cup Semi-Finals.
Groups A & B 3rd & 4th places to Trophy Quarter Final
Groups C 1st & 2nd Place to Trophy Semi-Finals
Note:
If normal time draw, no extra time, straight to penalties, 5 each then sudden death. This includes group games to help break points ties on head to head result. Normal time wins have tie break advantage over penalty wins.
