The WKFL is seeking to reccruit new Clubs for the 2012/2013 season.

The Weald of Kent Friendly League was formed in the early 1990’s to meet the needs of small villages who had little prospect of entering teams in the larger 11v11 leagues.
The 7v7, mini-soccer format was adopted and this long before the F.A introduced it nationally in 1999.
The League was certainly competitive from the start but the focus was on the word ‘friendly’ with Clubs sympathetic to the needs of each other and the problems that they can face. Fines were unheard of!
Over the years the League has evolved to meet the needs and desires of its member Clubs and in 2007 the 9v9 format was adopted for the older age groups. We were the first League in Kent to pioneer this format which has recently found favour with the F.A .
Whilst the WKFL today has, by necessity, become more formal, it remains firmly based on its founding principles of friendliness and fairness. The management approach is totally inclusive and responsive to the needs of its members.
If you think the WKFL might suit your needs you can contact us via the website or call our secretary Barrie Croucher on 0780 143 9126. We would be very pleased to hear from you.
