Sad news of the death of Mr Chris Tapping.

It is with immense sadness that I have to announce the death of our friend Mr Chris Tapping. Chris passed away in hospital on Monday 8th April after a long battle against cancer.
He was the 1st Chairman of the Southern Veterans League and played a major part in the creation of the league in 2001.
He served as chairman until he retired due to ill health in 2015, his knowledge and experience in football was extensive and he will be sorely missed.
Football has lost a true gentleman and a great ambassodor for Veterans Football.
Our thoughts and prayers go to his family and friends at this sad time.
