The Herne Bay and Whitstable Sunday Football League have made donations to two Charities.
The Herne Bay and Whitstable Sunday Football League are pleased to announce that they have made a donation of £500 to “Prostate Cancer UK”. This money was raised by teams and supporters during last season’s Charity Cup Competitions.
Committee members Derek Tester (President), Arnie Van Orsouw (Chairman), and Neil Bowyer (Fixture & Referees Secretary) made the presentation to Terry Potter (Prostate Cancer UK) at the premises of their Main Sponsors, THE PLOUGH RESTAURANT.
The League will also be making a similar donation to CALM, a Charity dedicated to preventing suicide.
Because of the condition of most pitches, and very changeable weather conditions, fixtures may be subject to amendment or cancellation at short notice. This is expected to be a problem for the remainder of the season
