Week 9 Bundesliga Team Of The Week Inter de Nott

Summary of the action from Week 9 of NTU's Bundesliga 5-A-Side competition

Following the lengthy Christmas break the Bundesliga returned on Sunday and saw the action hot up at either end of the table.

The day started with The Chaps picking up a 5-2 win over Cheers United that moved up two places to tenth, just one point behind their opponents for the day. This was followed by the debut of Token Hotspur in the league who put in a highly creditable performance in losing 5-3 to title chasing CC Cosmos.

At 3pm 5 Elite continued to keep up the pressure at the top winning 4-2 against Ay Bird, before CYPS extended their unbeaten run to six games with a 6-3 victory over Harpins Boys.

The most hotly anticipated game of the day took place at 4pm as NTU ISOC played Inter de Nott. As it was Inter bounced back from their first defeat of the season against ASE FC before Christmas with a 5-3 victory to maintain their place at the top of the Bundesliga table. This was followed up with the biggest scoreline of the day as Always On Top beat Real Sosobad 15-1.

At 5pm ASE FC picked up a 9-3 win over Exeter Gently to stay within striking distance of top spot in the league, before the weeks fixture closed with LEX FC picking up three points witha narrow 7-5 win against Baines On Toast.

Week 9's Bundesliga Team Of the Week award goes to Inter de Nott for their 5-3 victory against NTU ISOC, a win that ensured they maintained their place at the top of the table as we approach the halfway point in the season.

Week 10 throws up some compelling fixtures at either end of the table. CYPS kick off the day against Real Sosobad before Cheers United play Harpins Boys with both teams looking to break long winless streaks. At 3pm third plays sixth as CC Cosmos meet Always On Top, with a slip up from either side having the potential to be capitalised upon by 5 Elite who play Baines On Toast. Token Hotspur's second game in the league is a baptism of fire as the meet the free scoring ASE FC and league veterans The Chaps and Exeter Gently meet for the first time February 2013. The final two games of the day see a mid table battle between NTU ISOC and LEX FC and leaders Inter de Nott play Ay Bird.

In addition to these eight fixtures it can now be announced that the Bundesliga is expanding with the addition of 2. Bundesliga, a second division that will run every Sunday between 12-2 for the rest of the season. The eight league spaces are already being filled and games begin this Sunday
