Overview of the action from the Week 2 of NTU's 5-a-side Bundesliga

Reading Week had a dramatic effect on the Bundesliga, with Gordon House Massive, LEX FC and Muay Thai Fighters all unable to field enough players and having to concede a walkover to their opponents. Tripod FC, Cunning Stunts and Goldsmith FC were all the lucky recipients of three points and three goals each, but each would have preferred to pick them up on the pitch rather than on the table...

The three games that went ahead were all highly significant though. Two Balls Are Not Enough showed their true ability following last weeks 7-0 loss to pick up an impressive 3-2 win over Shelvey Style who had opened their season with a 5-1 victory. Sandby FC also picked up their first win of the season, winning 2-1 against Average Joe's 5's. The last game of the day saw a top of the table clash between Exeter Gently and Mill House FC. Ina game high on quality in both goals and general play, the top two remained as they were with the game finishing 2-2.

The closeness and quality in the league is becoming clearly evident as no team has managed to pick up two wins from two and five teams sit at the top of the table on 4 points.

Next weeks fixtures see Goldsmith Court vs Mill House at 1.00pm, Sandby FC vs Muay Thai Fighters at 1.30pm, Two Balls Are Not Enough facing Gordon House Massive at 2.00pm, a 2.30pm kick off between Tripod FC and LEX FC, Shelvey Style vs Exeter Gently at 3.00pm and the 3.30 kick off being between Cunning Stunts and Average Joe's 5's. The 1.00pm kick off could be the vital game of the day with Mill House and Goldsmiths current sitting second and third in the table.
