A round-up of the action from Week 9 of the SERIE 6-A-Side League

Week 9 of the SERIE games saw some notable action at the top of both 6-a-side leagues.

In SERIE A Ajax Trees Down and Scoregasm Japan met with both team knowing only a win would give them a realistic chance of winning the league heading into the last last week of games. As it was it was Scoregasm who took the lead and had extended it to 3-0 by half time. Though Ajax mounted a second half comeback, Scoregasm were able to maintain their advantage and eventually ran out 5-1 winners. This was the only game that took place in SERIE A as Egypt FC were unable to field a team against Destiny and History Society Football Club were in their Bye Week.

SERIE B saw no games played this week due to the unavailability of Peverell Plebs. However, Cease Hiders were able to play a friendly fixture against SERIE side Defenders Assemble, with the score finishing 4-0 in Defenders favour.

Heading into the last week of fixtures three teams can still win SERIE A. Scoregasm Japan currently lead the way by three points. However, the will have to sweat out the Week 10 games as they have already played all of their league fixtures. Defenders Assemble are the best placed to challenge them, with a goal difference only one inferior to Scoregasm. A win by either two clear goals or by scoring at least three against Destiny will see them take the title. Egypt FC are the final team that can win the league. However, their goal difference is vastly inferior and they require a win by thirteen goals to have a chance!

In SERIE B Cease HIders can in theory still take the title from under the noses of Titus Brambles Frisky Fingers, but require a win against Peverell Plebs and Peverell also to beat Titus in their first game of the day.

Week 10 will be a tense one...
