Bundesliga Week 6 Team Of The Week 5 Elite

Summary of the action from Week 6 of NTU's Bundesliga 5-A-Side competition

Week 6 of the Bundesliga saw the dreaded Reading Week taking it's toll on the league, with both LEX FC and NTU ISOC being unable to field teams in their respective games against Cheers United and CYPS, handing 3-0 wins to their opponents. E Block were also forced to conceed their game against The Chaps and, having conceded their third straight walkover, took the reluctant decision to drop out of the league after six games.

The games that did take place though provided their fair share of action with 61 goals being scored in total. Inter de Nott kicked off the days action in their traditional winning style against Exeter Gently, picking up a 6-3 win to maintain their 100% record for the season. This was followed up by ASE FC, who surpassed even their free scoring standards in winning 19-2 against Harpins Boys (averaging a goal every seventy five seconds!).

ASE's victims last week, Ay Bird FC, came up against another in form side as they lost 5-2 to Always On Top, who picked up their third win on the bounce, before CC Cosmos extended their own winning run to four games as they defeated Real Sosobad 8-3.

The final game of the day provided the closest match of the day as 5 Elite bounced back from their back to back defeats in Weeks 4 & 5 in winning 8-5 against Is Your Motherwell.

Week 6's Bundesliga Team Of The Week award goes to 5 Elite for their bounce back 8-5 win over Is Your Motherwell that secured their position in second in the league.

Week 7 will hopefully see a more full fixture list take place. Bottom team Real Sosobad kick off the day against Is Your Motherwell, then at 2.20 CYPS and The Chaps play their first games in two weeks following their walkover victories in Week 6. 3pm sees Inter de Nott looking to make it 7 wins in a row when they play LEX FC, before free scoring ASE FC come up against Cheers United who are in a three game winning streak. At 4pm Always On Top, on a three game winning run of their own, play Harpins Boys. 4.30 pm sees Ay Bird FC play debutants Baines On Toast who have replaced E Block in the league. The last hour features two of the top four as CC Cosmos play Exeter Gently and 5 Elite clash with NTU ISOC.
