Week 1 Bundesliga Team Of the Week Exeter Gently

Summary of the action from Week 12 of NTU's Bundesliga 5-A-Side competition

Ten games took place in Week 12 of the Bundesliga competitions, with the only games that failed to take place being Sapphic United vs Pass To Stephen, with Stephen being unable to field a team on the game day and Baines On Toast vs Real Sosobad, with Sosobad unfortunately having to withdraw from the league due to a lack of players.

In the other 2. Bundesliga games the day started with Ivory Toast putting out another clear marker of intent for the league winning 9-1 against Surreal Madrid. AFC Game, Set & Snatch then made it two wins from two games as they beat Fat Bagz 8-4 and Inter Mi-Nan preserved their own unbeaten record, winning 9-5 against The Best Choice Boys.

In the Bundesliga itself Inter de Nott started the day with a 3-1 win over Cheers United. Looking at the league table the result would look like being an expected one. However, Cheers came close to causing a major upset as they led 1-0 at half time.

The next set of games all saw teams emulating each other as they ended long losing streaks. Ay Bird FC ended a run of three straight defeats to top four opposition as they took a comprehensive 6-2 against token Hotspur. Exeter Gently then ended their own three game losing streak with the upset result of the day, beating 5 Elite 6-3., before NTU ISOC themselves ended a three game losing run to beat Always On Top 6-4.

Normal service was resumed int he last three games of the day. CC Cosmos picked up a comprehensive 9-2 win over Harpins Boys, though the scoreline didn't do justice to Harpins play throughout the game. CYPS put in a strong performance as they beat LEX FC 8-3 and the day ended with ASE FC picking up their customary hatful of goals as they won 8-1 against The Chaps.

The Beundesliga Team Of The Week Award for Week 12 goes to Exeter Gently for their upset 6-3 victory against 5 Elite.

Week 13 in the Bundesliga throws up big matches in both leagues. The highlights are Sapphic United and Inter Mi-Nan putting their 100% records on the line when they meet in 2. Bundesliga and 2nd placed ASE FC puuting their eight game winning streak up against 4th placed CYPS who have won their last nine. The Bundelsiga also welcomes the arrival of Ginellies, who are replacing the now defunct Real Sosobad, as they play Exeter Gently in their debut match
