Bundesliga Week 4 Team Of The Week Always On Top

Summary of the action from Week 4 of NTU's Bundesliga 5-A-Side competition

Week 4 of the Bundesliga saw the first teething troubles of the season as one game became the first officiated one to take place (due to referee transport issues) and another saw the first no-show of the year as E Block failed to turn out against NTU ISOC, who took home an automatic 3 points and 3-0 win as consolation.

The remaining seven games still provided plenty of action though, even managing last week's 50 goal haul with 52 being put away this Sunday.

The first game of the day saw nearly 20% of the goals as Exeter Gently bounced back from their narrow defeat by Ay Bird in Week 3 to smash 10 unanswered goals past Harpin's Boys. Ay Bird themselves followed up last weeks win with an impressive 7-4 victory over LEX FC.

The shock of the day cam int eh 3.00 pm game. ASE FC came into the week undefeated and having scored twenty-three goals across their last two games, whilst opponents Always On Top had picked up three straight defeats and only scored five goals in these games. However, just to prove how unpredictable the league can be, Always On Top upset the odds to win 4-1 and move themselves away from the bottom of the table.

CC Cosmos continued their return to form at 3.30 as they picked up a 6-2 win against CYPS, whilst at 4.00 pm, in the unrefereed game, Is Your Motherwell narrowly won 4-3 against The Chaps.

At 5.00 the most anticpated game of the day, between table toppers Inter de Nott and 5 Elite took place. As expected the game produced goals and technique galore with Inter de Nott coming out eventual victors 4-2.

In the final game of the day Cheers United broke their two game loosing streak with a victory over Real Sosobad.

Despite Exeter Gently's large win and Inter de Nott maintaining their 100% record Team Of The Week for Round 4 is awarded to Always On Top for their coupon busting exploits against ASE FC.

Week 5 of the Bundesliga again produces what should be some competitive matches. The round starts with ASE FC playing Ay Bird FC, and is followed by mid table clashes between LEX FC & Harpins Boys and Exeter Gently and Cheers United. Always On Top play E Block at 3.30pm, before table toppers Inter de Nott meet joint bottom Real Sosobad at 4pm. Is Your Motherwell will be looking to continue their push up the table when they play CYPS and NTU ISOC get back into competitive games against The Chaps. The game of the day on paper takes place at 5.30 as 5 Elite look to get back to winning ways against the goal happy CC Cosmos.
