A round-up of the action from the first week of NTU's new 6-a-side league

Friday 1st February saw the launch of NTU's Friday night 6-a-side leagues which will see ten teams fighting it out to gain the tile of SERIE A champions at the end of April. With the teams split into two leagues of five, the opening round of games will see a promotion/relegation system put in place to ensure that the top league is as competitive as possible.

SERIE A kicked off with founder team Egypt FC running out comfortable 4-0 winners over an understrength 2 Goals 1 Cup who were only able to field 4 players due to Reading Week. The second game of this league saw Cease Hiders (formerly know as the Staff Team) loss 4-2 to debutants Destiny.

SERIE B is entirely made up of new teams and Ajax Trees Down made an impressive start to their campaign with a 4-0 win over Defenders Assemble. The other game played in this group saw Trent Architects gain a 3-1 victory over the interestingly named Titus Bramble's Frisky Fingers.

This weeks fixtures see the renewal of the Egypt FC - Cease Hiders rivalry in SERIE A, a clash between Ajax Trees Down and Trent Architects, who both won their opening fixtures in SERIE B, and the debuts of Scoregasm Japan in SERIE A against Destiny and Peverell Plebs in SERIE B against Titus Bramble's Frisky Fingers
