Old Elizabethan's secure Division 1 Title

In a top of the table clash where the winners of the division 1 Title was at stake Old Elizabethans clinched a 6-2 away victory against South Wingfield.

The game was fast and furious as you would expect from both sides with Wingfield settling down to play the better football during the first 20 minutes. Luke Hurst put Wingfield ahead after 17 minutes which caused Old Ez's to up their game. Defensive lapses by the home side enabled Old Ez's to score 3 quick goals from Dean Ruddington Adie Harrrris and James Prentice meant Old Ez's taking a comfortable 3-1 lead at the interval.
Further strikes in the second half by Jonathan Rowbottom and James Prentice followed by a consolation goal from Wingfield's Paul Evans before a late penalty which gave James Prentice his hat trick and Old Ez's the Division 1 title.

Overall Old Elizabethans 11 were worth winners.
