The match was pretty even for the first 10 minutes with both sides creating chances.
After 10 minutes Ripon opened up the scoring with a well taken goal (0-1)
Wensleydale replied within a few minutes with a cool finish from Jake Leigh-Howarth (1-1)
Ripon again applied the pressure and made it 2-1 to the away team (1-2).
Another quick reply after some great link up play down the left hand side between Paul Harmsworth and Bradley Spinks providing Fergus Chapman with his first (2-2)
Wensleydale continued to apply pressure only for Ripon to counter and make it 3-2 against the run of play (2-3).
More attacking play from Wensleydale down the left hand side with Bradley Spink cutting in a low cross which ended in an own goal (3-3).
Half time
Change around at half time and Wensleydale were putting Ripon back line under pressure and were soon ahead with a goal from Ben Jones (4-3)
The home team continued to pressure and were 5-3 up with a great finish from Callum Stanger (5-3).
Callum made it 6-3 and could have had his hat trick but was denied by the cross bar (6-3).
Wensleydale were awarded a penalty soon after only to be denied by the Ripon keeper.
Good defensive work from Thomas Heyes-Chisnall and John Russell and goal keeping from James Dawson allowed the midfield to counter with Jake Leigh-Howarth getting his second (7-3).
Wensleydale countered again late on with great work from Lewis Moore and Brandon Acton allowing Preston Connor to break and score his first and make it 8-3 to Wensleydale. (8-3)
