Havant and Waterlooville fail in play off bid

After a resounding victory last weekend against SE Combination opposition, Havant and Waterlooville travelled to Cheshunt FC to take on Premier League Southern Division Gillingham for the right to play in the Premier League next season.

The first half finished nil-nil but Gillingham scored the only goal of the game to leave Havant and Waterlooville disappointed and still playing Combination League football next season.

Plymouth Argyle will go to the Premier League as champions, with Yeovil returning to Combination league action after 1 season in the top flight.

With action in the SW Combination league now settled, the final constitution for 2011/12 can now be agreed and will be communicated to all member clubs within the next week.
