Basingstoke League

Division One

Twentyen FC traveled to Silchester to meet DJS Telecoms FC and returned with a comfortable 5-1 victory, sweet revenge for the 8-2 defeat they suffered against the same opponents in September TwentyTen went in front on ten minutes when Jake Tanner headed home a Christian Cox cross and ten minutes later Joe Osborne linked up with Ryan Lupton for their second. Cox headed into his own net just before half time, to make it 2-1 at the break. Lupton flicked in a corner by Cox to move Twentyten further ahead in the 46th minute. DJS striker Harry Rudge was brought down in the box, Rudge took the penalty kick, keeper Jack Nicholson pushed it onto the bar and from the rebound Rudge shot wide. Adam Elsegood played through for substitute Franklin Spacagna to make it 4-1 and Osborne scored his second for the fifth.

DivisionTwo.

Just the one league game and that was at Berrydown where Bounty United FC had switched their game from Castle Field. It ended goalless and by all accounts this was a fair result. Both keepers did well to keep a clean sheet, Ryan Watts for Overton and Symon Duszynski for Bounty, in particular two very good saves from efforts by Paul Eldridge and Kyle Buckland.
The Aldermaston FC ‘A’ v AFC Berg fixture was postponed due to waterlogged pitch.
