Report from Division Two.

In Division Two, Ryan Evans was again on target with the opener in the 3-1 win Basingstoke Athletic managed against a resilient AFC Aldermaston A away. Evans combined with Dale Bristow to slot past keeper Darren Heath. Andy Hynes replied for Aldermaston but a Dave Trevelion lob saw the visitors lead at the break. Bristow had a goal disallowed before ten minutes from time Nathan Read came up with the third. Preston Candover won again, this week away to Sherborne St John Reserves 4-1. Mark Oram put away the first from a Clayton Deacon corner kick after 25 minutes. Andrew Carr beat keeper Joe White with an in swinging corner kick to level, but before half time Russell Hancock, the Sherborne keeper brought down Tommy Black and Kyle Buckland put away the penalty kick. Dave Purt hit the bar for Sherborne, but it was Ben Coe who made it 3-1 after a free kick taken but Rob Stait had hit the post. Buckland came up with his second following a through ball from Black. Bounty United are off the mark with 3-2 win against AFC Berg at Brighton Hill. Steve Eyles put away a cross from Phil Case to score their first after 15 minutes and Matt Love muscled his was through and broke away to beat Simon Edwards in a one on one. It became 3-0 before half time after Mike Gilham had split the defence to find Eyles who calmly beat Edwards for his second. Berg improved and were handed a life line when Craig Williamson headed a cross from Spencer Kirby into his own net. Another chance for Berg came when Bounty conceded a penalty, but a fine save from Richard Vinn from Matt Goodman’s spot kick kept Bounty two goals ahead. Berg kept up the attacks but could only pull back the one goal, with Goodman lobbing Vinn six minutes from time. Newcomers Basingstoke United managed a point this week from a 2-2 draw with Overton United B. They took a first minute lead when Ashley Pearce broke through from a Sam Barton pass and beat the advancing keeper Ryan Watts in a one on one. Sami Aldoori equalized from 20 yards out, but back came United to quickly regain the lead through Sam Barton. Good saves from Watts from efforts by Tom Hartley and Ryan Bennett stopped United increasing their lead and as Overton pressed 16 years old substitute Liam Randal, following a good pass from Logan Bond gave United their point. Winklebury Wizards made it two win from two when beating Herriard Sports 4-0 away. Herriard attacked strongly at the beginning when Martin Miles had a strong header well saved by Darren Gilbanks and Terry Kimber cleared off the line from a Sam Weber effort. Herriard thought they had leveled when Craig Lewington put away a free kick, but Referee Butler made him retake and this time he was off target.. Wizards got over the early onslaught and Lee Garrett hit the bar and then in the 40th minute Hugo Carlos gave them the lead from a Josh Hickey pass. Carlos scored again in the 49th from fully 30 yards out and now on top Scotty Winterbourne made it 3-0. It was Carlos who shone and he completed his hat trick with the last kick of the game after taking on two men and then the keeper.
