Rising Sun DC march on unbeaten after their 4-1 North Hants Intermediate Cup win over Sherborne St John.

Even though they had Sam Nicholls sent off after just two minutes for decent it did not stop their progress. Lee Chambers gave them a tenth minute lead and this was followed by Ben Nicholls making it two and in the second half Shaun Searle made it 3-0 before Asher Pirie scored for Sherborne following a Declan Shuttleworth free kick. Searle netted his second following a strong 40 yard run. The big shock of this round was Tadley Calleva A beating Basingstoke Royals 8-4 when Kye Theodore was in hot form again scoring four times. Gary Hibbs sent in a good cross for his first after two minutes, but James McIntosh equalized within two minutes. Goals from Lee Champion and a Theodore penalty made it 3-1, but back came Royals with a Tom Smith free kick. Simon Penfold made it 4-2 on half time and after the break Tadley forged into a 6-2 advantage with further goals from Ash Saunders and Theodore, Steve Horton then made it 6-3. Hibbs soon added another, but again Royals replied via James Gilham. It was Theodor’s day when he came up with his fourth. In the Quarter Final Tadley A have been drawn at home to Rising Sun.. Hook met Welly Old Boys for the third time this season and jut was the same outcome, a heavy defeat for Graham Jenkins side. This week it was 8-2 at Newfound where they had ten men with players selected but just not turning up he said. Aaron King scored a hat trick, with two apiece for Peter Silvester and Andy Parker and Dan Mellor the eighth. It was an own goal the reply from Welly at 3-0 after a shot from Andy Tottman took a deflection and Graham Jenkins netting a Russ Williams cross for their second. Hook will now entertain Broughton in the last eight. Bramley United faced higher grade opposition Andover Lions with the bare eleven and made their exit, coming home from Andover after being beaten 2-0, both goals came five minutes before the break.

In the North Hants May Cup AFC Berg, not having then best of starts had a great result beating Division One North Warnborough 2014 3-1. Goals from Kieran Allayne and Matt Goodman gave them a two goal lead. Borough made it 2-1, but a late second for Goodman sunk Humphrey Sims side. I went to Brighton Hill and watched Hampshire Irons pull off a 3-2 win against the high flying Andover League club Kingsclere. Although Irons took the lead with a Steve Tickner goal after ten minutes, Kingsclere looked a good outfit and it was no surprise when they equalized in the 32nd with a classy shot on the turn from Sam Hamilton and within two minutes Alex Frankling beat the offside trap to see them 2-1 ahead. Irons were awarded a penalty in the 38th but Chris Dobbie hit the bar and in the 45th he had a great chance in a one on one with the keeper but shot wide. In the 61st.Irons drew level when James Arnold broke clear and finished well and it was Arnold with the spade work and perfect low cross that gave Dobbie his easy finish for the winner five minutes from time. AFC Aldermaston A came home from Andover New Street Swifts with an 8-2 defeat after capitulating in the final twenty minutes. Goals were scored by Paul Mellor and Kevin Flain. Sherborne St John Reserves did well to take Kingsclere Reserves to extra time before going out beaten 4-1. They went a goal down early in the game, but came back in the 33rd minute when Andy Carr headed home a Jake Perrin cross. Both teams went close but could not produce a goal and in the extra time a free kick 30 seconds into the second period saw Swifts go in front and with Sherborne pressing three more were conceded Herriard Sports proved too good for Labour Club at Brighton Hill where they beat them 5-0. A dazzling ruin and finish by Sam Weber gave them a 21st minute lead and Adam Francis tapped in the second in the 44th. Another good 40 yard run by Weber made it 3-0 in the 51st and further goals from Scott Donnelly and Stuart Minton sealed this big win. Basingstoke Athletic managed a 2-0 win on their visit to AFC White Hart from the Andover League. Although on top for most of the game it was not until the 55th minute before a cross from Dave Trevelion was headed in by Matt Stillwell, new to the club this season. They made sure of going into the next round in the 70th when Dale Bristow broke away down the wing and his cross was met by Matt Button who side footed past the keeper to go into the next round where they will meet Herriard Sports. It was another good win for Twentyten , beating Kings Somborne 4-1 at home. Joe Osborne took a pass from his brother Ben for the lead, but Elliott Ford equalized for the Andover outfit. Joe Hill restored the lead before the break and with teenagers Jack Coombs and Charlie Hill very sound at the back they did not look like conceding again and Joe Osborne made it 3-1. The final goal came from a penalty kick, taken by Carl Pearson after Osborne was fouled. Preston Candover won through, but they left it late to defeat Broughton 2-1. It was goal less at 88 minutes when Michael Fuller gave them the lead. Broughton equalized straight away and it was in added time when Ben Coe came up with the winner, a 20 yard drive into the top corner. Overton United A were leading AFC Wolversdene 2-0, but eventually went out beaten 3-2. Silvai Thomas gave them a 1st minute lead after the keeper fumbled a shot from Gus Reis and Reis headed home a corner from Joe Lake for the second before half time. Things did not go their way after this with the winner coming in the 80th minute. Winklebury Wizards suffered their first defeat of the season, losing 2-1 to Overton United B, but they may have a reprieve as an investigation is taking place over the eligibility of one of the Overton players, who is usually in the first team. .Matty Bonner gave Overton a 4th minute lead and they extended this in the 51st from a penalty taken by Jamie Smith. Wizards pressed and managed to snatch a goal back in the 80th through Scott Large, but no further come back. Basingstoke United won through after a very hard game against Sutton Scotney they won 3-2. They were a goal down at half time, but in the 55th Tom Hartley was put through by Ryan Bennett and lobbed the keeper. They trailed a again from a penalty given away by Grant Smart, but Hartley came up with the equalizer and then complete his straight hat trick after Callum Silcox played him through for the decider. .DJS Telecoms keep up their good form, this week beating Hook Reserves 7-3. They swept into a three goal lead, goals from Lee Neal, Carlos Gonzales and a Declan Elward penalty. Both Elward and Neal scored again before in the 64th Dave Mohamed hit the bar and Loz Wright followed up to net the rebound for Hook. Mohamed then scored again for Hook but Elward completed his hat trick on 87 minutes and Mark Howell made it 7-2 before Wright came up with his second, an assist from Jack McKee.
