Stapenhill step a point closer the championship.

Stapenhill stepped a point closer the championship, despite being held to a 0-0 draw at home by Blaby and Whetstone Athletic. They need 3 points from their remaining 4 games to be absolutely sure with 4 clubs, Barrow Town, Ibstock Utd, Thurnby Rangers and Kirby Muxloe capable of taking the runners up spot.

Thurnby Rangers, for so long possible champions, have hit the skids and went down for the 6th time in the last 7 starts, 3-0 at Ibstock and now look out of it.

Barrow Town went 0-2 down at home to bottom dogs Rothley Imps before Matt Boyles started the fight back with a goal before the break and then netted his 2nd in a 3-2 victory that keeps the Town in the mix.

Kirby Muxloe are well and truly back in the equation after a Jamie Mason double helped them to their 3rd win on the spin, 4-1 over Aylestone Park.

Holwell Sports continued to consolidate 6th spot with a 1-0 defeat of St Andrews, who had plenty of chances but not their shooting boots with them and Bardon Hill Sports picked up their 1st away win since the end of October after an 0-2 victory at Ratby Sports, who slip back in to the bottom 2.

Birstall Utd made it 3 wins on the spin with a 2-0 defeat of Thurmaston Town and a double from Matt Parry helped Ellistown remain unbeaten in their last 6 starts with a 4-1 defeat of Anstey Nomads.

Highfield Rangers moved out of the bottom 2, with their 1st points in 4 starts, after a 1-2 away win at Downes Sports.
