Kirby Muxloe now have the bit between their teeth.

With the championship already won, champions Stapenhill took their foot off the gas; after Greg Smith had given them a 0- 2 lead at half time, to allow St Andrew?s Aaron Preston to snatch a 2nd half double for a share of the points in a 2-2 draw.

In the scramble for 2nd place, Barrow Town still hold position with a 2-1 defeat of Ellistown, whose colours were lowered for the 1st time in 9 starts after Danny Geary netted a goal in each half.

Kirby Muxloe, who can match Barrow?s points and have a superior goal difference, now have the bit between the teeth and gained revenge for their last defeat, 0-1 at home, to come away from Holwell Sports with a 0-3 away win in the bag after wingback Andy Harrison netted a 2nd half pair and they played most of the 2nd half with 10 men.

Ibstock Utd finally took Thurnby Rangers out off the equation, and look to have consolidated at least 4th spot, after Kev Allsop netted twice in the 2-3 away win. The Rangers need a point from their last 3 games to finish 5th and hold off Holwell; they could finish 4th if they won their last 3 games, but after 8 defeats in their last 9 starts that looks unlikely.

Birstall Utd consolidated mid table respectability with a 1-2 away win at relegated Rothley Imps after James Dodd netted a goal in each half and

Anstey Nomads made it 3 wins on the spin with a 5-1 defeat of Downes Sports, who slip back into the 2nd bottom relegation slot after Ant Ward hit an hat trick and Ratby Sports vacated the slot with a 2-2 draw with Thurmaston Town after being 2-0 up.

Blaby and Whetstone removed any fears of being involved in the final weeks relegation dog fight with a 2-3 away win at Aylestone Park, who with 2 to play need a point to be clear of trouble and will be looking anxiously at the results of teams below them for the last 3 games.
