SIGNING: Hepple signs new Durham deal
Durham Women FC are delighted to confirm that midfielder Beth Hepple has extended her stay with the club.
The 21-year-old, who netted 11 times for the Wildcats last season, has committed her future to New Ferens Park after an impressive campaign.
A main-stay in the Durham side since their entry into the FA WSL, Hepple is the club's longest-serving player having progressed through the youth ranks of the club.
Having now racked up over 100 appearances and 30 goals for the club, the midfielder is keen to push on next season.
Speaking after agreeing a new deal, Hepple said: "It’s great to be staying at the club next season.
"It’s an exciting time and the club is growing every year.
"I enjoyed last season but believe I can always improve, so I can’t wait to get back into pre-season and get ready for the new season ahead.
"I think this season is going to be even more competitive with new teams entering the league, but I believe as a team we can challenge for the title.
"I know that is the aim as a club and we have a well balanced squad mixed with youth and experience."
Manager Lee Sanders added: "It's fantastic that Beth will be competing for us again this season.
"She's grown up with the club along with a few others here and that's great to see from our perspective.
"She's had another good season and hit a few milestones along the way with her 100th appearance and recently being called into the England U23 squad.
"She's again been an almost ever present in the team and deserves to be as she's generally one of the players who gets us something in games - whether scoring or assisting she's usually involved in it"
"We will look to improve as a team again next season and I'm sure she'll be a big part of that."
Hepple becomes the fifth player to commit their future to the club, following Zoe Ness, Nicki Gears, Rachel Lee and Emily Roberts.
