REID: "Credit To All The Girls"
Hannah Reid has praised the ten players in front of her after a fine rearguard display secured a point at Manchester United.
While the Red Devils saw most of the ball, they were unable to find a way past Durham and Reid - who rightly came in for plenty of praise after a string of fine saves.
But the stopper was keen to see the credit shared across the team after strong displays across the board.
“I’m buzzing, I’m delighted and I’m really happy," she said.
"I think it's credit to all the girls really, not just myself, as it was a team effort and we are so happy our hard work paid off today."
There were some near-misses for United, with Lauren James striking the post and Reid clawing several goal bound efforts away.
Durham, though, mainly managed to restrict their hosts and the summer signing admitted her delight at the players in front of her putting their bodies on the line.
“I have to admit there were a couple of close shaves," she added.
"But credit to the girls who put their bodies on the line because it was just as much down to them to earn that draw."
The highlight of Reid's standout performance was undoubtedly a fine save to deny Katie Zelem from the penalty spot.
And the Scot revealed that she knew where the midfielder was going to place her spot kick after a pre-match briefing from Lee Sanders.
“I have to give credit to the manager on that (the penalty save) as he told me to go right and that’s exactly what I did and I saved it”
