HEPPLE: "I Have Every Belief In This Team"

We caught up with midfielder Beth Hepple to get her views on the season so far.

Hepple has enjoyed a fine start to the campaign and currently sits as the Wildcats' top scorer with four goals to her name so far.

And the midfielder believes that her team can go on to challenge for the title come the end of the season.

We caught up with the England U20 international to get her views on the season so far and to look ahead to two back-to-back games against Aston Villa:

Hepple on the season so far:

"We had a good start to the season and a few ups and downs since then.

"But we're still only about a quarter of the way through the season so there's a long way to go.

"I think everything is in our hands.

"We've got a lot of games coming up and in the New Year so it's time to get our heads down and focus on that.

"Hopefully we can get the results."

Hepple on our fine home form:

"It's really important to have a good home streak and hopefully we can keep that up.

"If we're going to challenge for the title that's very important.

"We want teams to be scared that they're coming to New Ferens Park."

Hepple on goals being spread throughout the team:

"I don't think we're ever relying on just one person which is important.

"Everybody has a shared responsibility and it's very handy on a game day that, if you're off your game, you can be confident other people will score.

"I think we can always score more goals and we have a lot more in us."

Hepple on increasing crowds at New Ferens Park:

"It helps a lot.

"Since we started a couple of years ago it's fantastic how much our fanbase has grown and hopefully that can continue.

"If we keep our good home form going that will hopefully attract more people too."

Hepple on the Continental Cup draws with Liverpool & Sunderland:

"It's a massive indicator of how far we've come.

"It was on Twitter a couple of weeks ago that we got beaten 7-1 by Liverpool a couple of years ago and now we're drawing with them.

"It's amazing really and having been at the club that long it just shows all the hard work on and off the pitch and how far the club is going forward."

Hepple on the upcoming games against Aston Villa:

"Aston Villa is always a tough game.

"If you look at the history of it, we've won a few and they've won a few so it'll be a tough game as always.

"Hopefully we can get the wins."

Hepple on her hopes for the season:

"I have every belief in this team.

"As we've said before, there's so many different options and we've got such a bright squad.

"On the bench we always have someone who can come on and change a game.

"So I'm confident that we can challenge for the title."
