HEPPLE: "Everybody Wanted To Win"
Beth Hepple said the Wildcats' desire to win shone through after their 4-2 triumph over Oxford United.
Having fallen behind to an early Oxford opener, Hepple levelled things up before the Wildcats put another three past their hosts in a commanding display.
And the midfielder believes that it was her sides eagerness to take the three points that helped them bounce back from conceding early.]
Here's what the midfielder said post-match:
Hepple on beating a strong Oxford side:
"Obviously it was a really tough game.
"Oxford have been doing really well this season so we knew we had to have a good game and everyone needed to be on it which they were."
Hepple on her goal:
"We were pressing really high and it worked throughout the game.
"Everyone pressed high and we stole the ball and got the chance which was great."
Hepple on bouncing back from conceding early:
"I don't think we felt sorry for ourselves, it actually gave us a kick up the backside to be honest.
"The first few minutes is the best time to concede because you have so much time to get back in the game.
"Everybody wanted to win so much today, and I think that showed."
Hepple on a strong attacking display:
"We're creating so many chances, and you can't complain with four goals away from home.
Hepple on becoming the first team to claim league victory at Oxford this season:
"That says a lot.
"We've got the likes of Sarah Robson coming back in and we had Becky Salicki on the bench too - they're big characters who we haven't had during the first half of the season.
"It's important to have them back and having them in and around showed today."
Hepple on a return to the scoresheet for Sarah Robson:
"It's only her second game back after giving birth so hats off to her.
"She's such an important character on and off the pitch and I'm buzzing for her."
